I will look at Thunder Guard # 1 from Thunderzone Comics this week.
The UN decided to fund Project Thunder Guard and recruit heroes to participate, selling them on the effectiveness of the proper heroes assigned due to the specific situation. Our first issue sees Thunder Guard Mission Director Major Payne activate heroes from the following creators: Meta (Ezekiel Zhong-Han Azib), Thunder Woman (Dan Hoins), Vulcan (Francisco Zamora), Singapore Sling (Jerry Hinds), Realmer X (Damion Waldbrunn) and Capitan Honduras (Dan Sehn) as the Omniverse begins to fall apart due to a break in reality while they fend off an alien invasion. From the start, this title brings a hefty amount of excitement. It gives the creative team a chance to explore the numerous characters presented in this series in a way that gives them a heroic standing while bringing them together for a memorable adventure. The premise is strong enough to keep this series going, but while the plot moves at a fast pace, it still operates on a grand scale that will resonate with any superhero fan. While it may take a while for the Thunderzone line to catch on, this title is the perfect example of bringing a unique concept such as this one to life while ensuring that Thunderzone is the true imprint for fans of superheroes from the independent world of comics.
Well, that’s it for me this week. Thanks for sticking around, and I look forward to seeing you all next time.
