This week, I will look at “Sgt. Flag # 4,” which finds the Sgt. the subject of a new reality show called “Capes,” which is the superhero equivalent of “Cops.” While this issue delivers action with such intensity, it’s wonderful how Rik Offenberger can blend some humorous elements into his story, as he’s not afraid to have some fun at the same time doing a great job of lampooning “Cops” to such delight as the “Capes” producers do not know what to expect by shadowing the Sgt.; It’s always great to see these slice-of-life stories making their way into the G-Man universe as I feel that certain stories such as this one truly help in making them more lively and never make them feel inferior because the G-Man heroes are simply timeless, but if anyone was willing to do a television show about a G-Man character, who better than Sgt. Flag? This issue will stand the test of time due to the concept of getting a fresh look at reality television and seeing Sgt. Flag in all his explosive and patriotic glory.
Well, that’s it for me this week. Thanks for sticking around. I will see you all next time.
