This week, I’m diving into the 20th anniversary edition of “Cyanide & Happiness: A Guide to Parenting.” From discovering messages in your alphabet soup to drawing the perfect hand turkey, getting away with kidnapping, telling your kids you no longer love them, and even making out with your kid’s best friend’s dad, this C&H compilation takes the traditional concept of parenthood and, as always, adds a humorous and dark twist to it. It shows how easy (and bizarre) it can be to raise a child. This is a collection that even those without children will enjoy because, while I’ve heard that raising kids comes with its trials and tribulations, they can take a moment just to read this and laugh themselves silly (laughter is the best medicine). Yes, I’ve heard that being a parent is no easy task. When Cyanide & Happiness offers their take on parenting, you can expect a mix of laugh-out-loud moments and awkward situations that truly make C&H a comedic powerhouse in showcasing the quality of life…just be prepared for the weirdness of the strips when reading this. You’ve been warned.
Well, that’s it for me this week. Thanks for sticking around, and I look forward to seeing you all next time.
