| PORTLAND, Ore. 08/15/2024 — Image Comics is pleased to reveal three highly collectible, rare covers for the upcoming The Moon is Following Us by the multiple Eisner Award winning Daniel Warren Johnson (Transformers, Do a Powerbomb) and fan-favorite artist Riley Rossmo (Proof). This exciting, ten issue miniseries launch will showcase a set of stunning covers including a 1:15 copy incentive cover by Ryan Stegman, a 1:50 copy incentive raw version of Johnson’s cover A art, a 1:100 copy incentive foil treatment of Johnson’s cover A art, and a blank sketch cover.
In The Moon is Following Us, Sam and Duncan LaMarr love their six-year-old daughter, Penny, more than anything in the whole world. But half a year ago, she was taken by the Cascade, an evil force they barely understand. Now, Sam and Duncan must fight side by side with the magical beings Penny cherished to try and get her back…before she’s gone forever.
The series sees the return of Rossmo to Image Comics and comes on the heels of Johnson’s breakout work on Transformers, for which he took home two 2024 Eisner Award wins in the “Best Continuing Series” and “Best Writer/Artist” categories this year. Rossmo’s name has similarly snagged headlines with the long-awaited announcement by Deadline that his beloved Proof comic book—which he co-created with Alex Grecian—is being turned into a TV series by Fox.
