Quantum looks to widen its audience via Kickstarter!
Time Bomb Comics is delighted to announce this brand-new way to enjoy the ongoing anthology! Including No.s 1-4, this pack, available through a short-run Kickstarter, with exclusive art cards created just for campaign backers. Also, and for the first time ever, the 14-day campaign will offer digital editions, making almost 250 pages of this unique British anthology device-friendly for the first time.
The Quantum anthology launched in April 2023, immediately marking itself as something special by being mainly available through newsagents, alongside comic shops. Aiming to be a mainstream comic with an indie ethos, Quantum brings together stories from across fantasy, horror, sci-fi and more into one great reading experience which matches the high production values Time Bomb fans expect. With matt-laminated, perfect-bound, cardstock covers, heavier interior paper stock to best show the artwork, and each issue running to at least 52 pages and four of five stories, Quantum fast found a passionate reader base.
This new initiative to widen Quantum’s current availability aims to reach a wider audience than ever before via Kickstarter, a platform which Time Bomb has used for most of its non-Quantum releases in the past. By including an exclusive that can be chosen as an individual reward option, it offers something to all potential backers, even if they’re already Quantum readers who buy from their local newsagent.
Speaking on bringing Quantum to the Kickstarter audience, publisher Steve Tanner said:
“Originally, Quantum was intended just to be available in UK newsagents, not through comic shops or crowd-funders, but since it’s launch it’s been clear that a large chunk of Quantum’s potential audience (especially those who mainly buy their comics through Kickstarter) just haven’t been able to get hold of a copy through that channel. And they’ve been quite vocal to us that they want to get their hands on Quantum!
This campaign is intended to address that, and make the first 4 issues of Quantum available globally to backers as a bundle, either as printed copies or, for the first time, digital editions for those who prefer to read their comics on a device. And without too much of a wait, as it’s a short 14-day campaign.”
Launching Tuesday 18th March, Time Bomb is excited about this new chapter for Quantum.
