Title and Contents Revealed
With the success of the first two issues, Quantum has fast become one of Time Bomb’s most prominent titles. This third issue continues five stories and teases another, and arrives in newsagents 17th August.
Quantum No.3 continues the stories from the first two issues: “Major Rakhana: Pax Galactica – Chapter Three” (written by Steve Tanner, artist Roland Bird, colourist Dan Harris, letterer Rob Jones); “WesterNoir: Moon Cursed – Part Three” (written by Gemma West, lettered by Dave West, artist Joseph Parangue, colourist Matt Soffe); “Memphis – Part Three” (written, drawn and lettered by David Morris, with assists from Pat O’Connor & Andrew Richmond); “Whatever Happened to the World’s Fastest Man? – Part Three” (written by Dave West, artist, the late, missed Marleen Starksfield Lowe, letterer Andy Bloor); “Death & Taxes – Part Two” (written by Katie Cunningham, artists Tom Newell & John Charles, letters by Rob Jones). The issue also features a short preview of upcoming strip “The Baker St Irregulars” from David Morris & Pat O’Connor.
The WesterNoir themed cover artwork is by David Morris & Ben Lopez.
One of the main goals of Quantum is to support local Newsagents. As part of this the original black and white cover line art will be available to be won by a reader taking a selfie of themselves with the comic and naming the newsagent they bought it from; you can find out more about this on Time Bomb’s social media feeds.
Speaking about the latest issue, Quantum Editor and Time Bomb Comics Publisher Steve Tanner said: “Third time lucky is definitely true for Quantum readers, as we’ve packed our latest issue with so much that we had to add some extra pages into it. There’s no increase to the cover price, though. We’re good like that.”
