Powers Squared’s 18th issue, “Mocha and Raven, Part 3”, drops on Wednesday, September 6. The issue concludes the story arc begun in Issue #16. In the story, Billy O’Shea, another superpowered individual, and Raven, his yatagarasu yokai companion, visit San Romero. There is bad blood between Raven and Mocha, but they must make amends in order to defeat Dr. Atlas and stop his plans to steal their powers.
“Mocha and Raven have a lot in common,” says David Hankins one of the co-creators and co-writers of the book. “Both are yokai who live with and protect human companions. At the same time, in the past, Mocha had done something that Raven finds unforgiveable.”
“But when the chips are down, it is Mocha working with Billy, that help turn the tables on Dr. Atlas,” says Paul Hankins, a co-creator, co-writer, and editor of the series.
Paul and David handled the writing on this issue, the artwork is done by Rachel Wells, the coloring by Julia Canon and the lettering by Trevor Hankins, who is also a co-creator of the book.
