Amid all the rumors, speculation, and leaks…Overwatch 2 has officially been announced. The announcement came today at Blizzcon in Anaheim, CA.
While no official release date has been announced, plenty of information has been released. Overwatch 2 will feature returning and new characters, co-op story missions, custom moves, a level up skill system, and a new “push” game mode.
The popular team v team mode will still be present. There will be new maps to battle in starting with Toronto, Gotheburg, Rio De Janiero,a Monte Carlo. Regarding the new “Push” mode, “In Push, a new, symmetrical map type that will launch with Overwatch 2, teams battle to take control of a robot that begins in a central location, then push it toward the enemy base. Either team may take control of the robot at any time. The team that pushes the robot furthest onto the enemy side wins the game,” according to the official Overwatch website.
