Visionary Creator to Appear at Multiple Comic Shops and Bookstores Down the West Coast Ahead of First-Ever Appearance Comic-Con International
PORTLAND, OR—Just ahead of the release of an all-new companion story to the two-time Eisner Award-winning graphic novel The Tea Dragon Society, acclaimed graphic novelist Katie O’Neill ventures down the west coast for five signings in conjunction with her first-ever appearance at Comic-Con International!
Katie O’Neill says “Living so far away in New Zealand, I am really thankful for the chance to come to the States and connect with so many wonderful readers- it’s a joy to meet both children and adults who have enjoyed my work! I’m so looking forward to all of the west coast signing events, and I hope everyone will feel welcome to come along and say hello. It’s also such an honor to be a guest at SDCC this year- my first time experiencing a comic convention on this scale! I’m very excited, and grateful for the opportunity.”
Katie is nominated again in this year’s Eisner Awards for her most recent work, Aquicorn Cove, a heartfelt story about learning to be a guardian to yourself and those you love. Her upcoming work, The Tea Dragon Festival, delivers another charming, gentle fantasy story about finding your purpose, and the community that helps you along the way. This highly anticipated follow up to the acclaimed 2017 graphic novel will be released in September.
