OMEGA MISSION: God’s Eye

(all final art for the comic will be in complete color)
A Word from The DON:

OMEGA MISSION: GOD’S EYE has been a dream of mine since 1993 after being awe-struck seeing Jim Lee’s art and reading Chris Claremont’s story in the new X-Men, and it’s a dream that’s only gotten stronger with every new comic I bought, always feeling the inspiration calling for me to CREATE.

For a long time, I’ve always had to put that dream on the back burner to accept and overcome the many challenges my life and responsibilities have thrown at me; from being a disabled war vet having to work remedial jobs for income, to finding myself as a caretaker for first my cancer-stricken father and now my dear mom who struggles with poor eyesight and mobility thanks to the evil that is diabetes.

And also for a long time, I lacked the confidence to follow thru on my dream, focusing on building my career as a freelance character designer/comic artist for a great many independent voices. It’s a legacy and work I am proud of, but still…it was not my own.

It wasn’t until I joined the COMICSGATE movement, a community of creators who strive to make the absolute best comics and entertainment they can w/o the interference of corporate direction or influence, that I found that confidence and revisited the characters and the story, realizing that NOW was the time to put stylus to screen and bring that story to YOU.

OMEGA MISSION: GOD’S EYE is primed to be a 45-50 page OPUS, and the FIRST of FOUR volumes to bring the story to conclusion, tentatively planned out for 6-8 month intervals.

I hope you guys will love this comic as much as I’m loving bringing it to life!

In closing, I want to express SINCERE GRATITUDE to Ya Boi Zack (Richard Meyer), Jon Malin, and Ethan Van Sciver for spearheading the Comicsgate movement, for being pioneers and journeymen in creating a new way for indie comics to be made, and for taking the hits ignorance throws at them and yet still standing and leading the way despite it. You have my eternal thanks and RESPECT.

To the rest of you: don’t just dream your dream…

…DO IT.
