Acclaimed comic book artist & writer Dan Parent will be at New York Comic Con 2022 on October 6 to 9, in Artists Alley at table B-08.
Dan Parent has been both drawing and writing for Archie Comics since 1987, going to work for the publisher immediately after graduating from the Kubert School. Parent is the creator of Kevin Keller, the first openly-gay character in the Archie Comics universe, who made his debut in Veronica #202 in 2010. In addition to his prolific work at Archie, Parent has also drawn Felix the Cat and Barbie.
With fellow Archie artist Fernando Ruiz he co-created the humorous horror comic series Die Kitty Die, a satire of the comic book industry. Kitty Ravencraft is a beautiful young witch and the star of her own comic book. When her greedy publisher wants to increase interest in his company, he sets out to kill Kitty both within the comic and in real life!
In 2018 Parent illustrated the Archie Meets Batman ’66 crossover between Archie Comics and DC Comics which saw Archie and the rest of the gang from Riverdale teaming up with the 1960s television versions of Batman and Robin.
Parent will have copes of his awesome Sabrina the Teenage Witch 60th Anniversary Spectacular #1 exclusive NYCC variant edition available at the show.
