The release of “FAME: Michael Jordan” is scheduled for release on April 24th.
Crafted by Michael Frizell and brought to life by Igor Cicarini, this 22-page comic book is accessible in both digital and print formats, and you can discover it on various platforms, including Amazon. The book comes in softcover and hardcover editions, with the paperback version showcasing a distinct cover illustrated by Pablo Martinena.
Michael Jordan’s determination led him to on-the-court success at Emsley A. Laney High School and later at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he made history with his game-winning shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship. As Jordan’s basketball career flourished with the Chicago Bulls, he transcended the sport, revolutionizing sports marketing with the Air Jordan brand in partnership with Nike. “I’ve written many biographies, but this one stressed me out! I could have used much more information than ended up in the book to tell the story, but I only have about one hundred pictures to explore what makes him tick. I wanted a fast-moving storyline that took some chances and ended with a dunk – just like Michael Jordan’s style of play,” expressed writer Michael Frizell.
The comic book will be getting variant covers by some of the biggest names in comics such as Greg Horn, Ale Garza, Tony Moy and more. These comics will premiere in Chicago this weekend at comic book Convention C2E2.
