FEB. 20, 2025, (PORTLAND, OR) — Mad Cave Studios is gunning it this Free Comic Book Day with two brand-new titles—SPEED RACER #0 and THE PHANTOM #0! These fresh takes on two legendary icons are built for speed, action, and adventure, making them the perfect launchpads for Mad Cave’s newest series.

Speed Racer #0 kicks things off with high-octane storytelling, while The Phantom #0introduces a bold new chapter for the comics’ original masked hero. Whether you’re a longtime fan of these characters or just getting on board, these FCBD issues are your first look at what’s coming next!

An all-new continuation of Tatsuonoko Production’s classic anime, MachGoGoGo, known to Western audiences as Speed Racer!

David Pepose and David Tinto have the storytelling keys to the featured story in issue #0, which ignites Mad Cave’s ongoing Speed Racer series. Meanwhile, Mark Russell and Chris Batista drive a backup tale that leads directly into a Racer X spin-off series.
