Time Bomb Comics launches free Patreon as part of their Quantum comic initiative!
Hot on the heels of the Quantum front cover art giveaway and the limited collectable Q-Card that’s being offered through Quantum, Time Bomb Comics have announced another initiative designed to provide Quantum readers with more added value for their support of the new bimonthly title.
Using the well-known platform, the Quantum Comic Patreon page aims to provide a step by step guide to indie comics publishing as a free resource for anyone that wants to use it. From initial comic ideas through to the printing, selling and marketing of a comic, each aspect of the process will feature which the publisher hopes will inspire others to publish comics themselves.
“Collectively, there’s more than fifty years of comics publishing experience between the creators that make up the Time Bomb Comics management team,” explains Quantum’s editor and Time Bomb publisher Steve Tanner, “and we thought it would be a great idea to share what we’ve learnt along the way.”
He continued: “This is very much about the publishing nuts and bolts rather than how to write a script or draw a comic page. There’s already some excellent free online ‘how-to’ guides for the creative side of producing comics, but not so much regarding some other key elements to comics production that can be really helpful to know.”
As well as the free guide to publishing content, the Quantum Comic Patreon will also offer a traditional paid tier for a nominal monthly fee to those that want to receive behind-the-scenes extras regarding Quantum itself, including artwork never seen anywhere else.
The Quantum Comic Patreon launched on Wednesday 21st June and can be found at www.patreon.com/QuantumComic503
Quantum No.2 goes on sale at newsagents across the country on Thursday 22nd June.
