April 5, 2023 (Missoula, MT): Indie publisher Oneshi Press is wrapping up its call for submissions for its 13th anthology of short indie comics—COHORTS!
Submissions of 8-page comics, scripts, and artwork are due next Friday, April 14, 2023.
The theme for this 140-page, full-color collection, set for release in trade paperback and digital formats in early 2024, is “Cohorts.”
Cohorts. Companions. Colleagues. Comrades. Co-pilots. Co-conspirators. From epic team-ups to collective cahoots, besties, and even baddies, Oneshi Press wants to see them form a plan, make the journey, and reach the goal.
“There’s nothing more exciting as a publisher than seeing what incredible creative spins the indie comics community puts on anthology themes,” says Oneshi Press editor-in-chief, Lynsey G. “We think the ‘COHORTS’ theme is rife for interpretation, and we absolutely can’t wait to see what submissions come in!”
COHORTTS will be the 13th anthology in Oneshi Press’s ongoing series, which has raised over $14,000 on Kickstarter to date. This collection will be Kickstarted in late 2023, with proceeds from the campaign paid out to the creators whose work appears inside it.
Oneshi Press focuses on progressive, inclusive, and inspiring tales that elevate the human experience in readers and contributors alike. Comics creators from beginners to seasoned professionals are invited to submit. Creators from marginalized groups are encouraged to submit their work—your voice needs to be heard!
