On this coming Thursday, January 16, 2025, Crusade Comics will launch, it’s 11th Kickstarter, Shi: Gatecrasher, a 48-page, full-color, original graphic novel and along for the ride is none other than the Queen of the Bad Girls, Coffin Comics’ Lady Death!
“It is truly an honor to have Lady Death play such a pivotal and crucial role in Shi: Gatecrasher.” Stated Shi creator, Billy Tucci. For over thirty years, Lady Death creator Brian Pulido has stood as a guiding light of inspiration to not just me, but to all comic creators. He was the first pro to treat me as a peer, offer me my first job (a pin up in the Lady Death Swimsuit Edition). His generosity and friendship know no bounds.”

In Shi: Gatecrasher we find Ana Ishikawa, (allied with RAN, Shi-creator Billy Tucci’s ORIGINAL concept for SHI) trapped within comic book time where she must battle through a cartoonist’s history of four-color imagery to find her way back home.

Based on the Story by Billy Tucci and writer J.C. Vaughn and illustrated by Tucci, Leandro Oliveira and Brian Miller with lettering by Mindy LopkinShi: Gatecrasher is literally the “destroy all monsters” of comic book character collision!
