So, like, I know the convention has already started—but, seriously—do you know who the fuck I am?

AND! To say the reasoning is, press passes are only given out to traditional media… FUCKING SERIOUSLY?!

I mean, TWITCH is web based!

Ugh. It’s really gross.

FCN has been a legitimate Entertainment News source for over 17 years–almost 3 years in, myself–and, frankly, I’m offended.

Seriously.

I covered New York Comic Con 2014 & 2015; San Diego Comic-Con 2015 & 2016–where we also paneled on how to generate news coverage for independently published work; Chicago’s Comic and Entertainment Expo 2015 & 2016; Youmacon 2015; Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con 2016; Motor City Comic Con 2016.

Every one of them, 80k+ people.

Last year Twitchcon had 20k attendees.

EXCUSE THE FUCK OUT OF ME.

I’m not press qualified… Yeah.

FUCK OFF.

And; yeah—our site got hacked last month and our fucking servers had to be wiped— so, I have nothing to show for all my hard work—but; 30 thousand of you visit our site every month; must be doing something right.

I’m every bit of a journalist/reporter/reviewer/editor/etc.

Who Con; CRSSD Fest; MCAS Miramar Air Show; San Diego Film Festival

Went to Maker Faire today, instead—co-founded by the San Diego Maker’s Guild; whom’s ultimate goal is inspiring creativity—does not matter what—just make.

Apparently, this weekend was also the World’s Maker Faire in NY… apparently they’re all over—super cool—SUPPORT INDIE!

Anyway…

I scored a few two day pass and wanted to go—so, I did.

I do what I want—mostly.

“Worked” at the hostel until 3PM but people just kept coming—actually, have two people staying here going to convention—one is gaming.

I was nice and checked in the one attending so he could go back to having fun without stressing over not having a bed to crash when time.

I’m a nice person—especially when our office is closed from 2-5PM—and, I was already off work; dropped my exploring time down considerably.

It’s fine…

Another dude came in as I was finishing and was cool enough to wait for the office to reopen and the next crew to come on shift.

I WANTED TO GO TO THE FUCKING FESTIVAL—well, I really wanted to go to Twitchcon but whatevs.

Of course, there was less then 65% battery life on my phone… Sigh…

But—was more than enough—kind of…

BEER WALL at the Museum of Man:

Walked into the San Diego Museum of Art was not participating in the Faire but the ladies at the first desk were nice enough to answer a few questions and informed of reducing pricing to $10 for adults through the end of the month.

Wanted to hit up the Japanese Friendship Garden—wasn’t really what I expected but cool—I guess…

Did see some cool stuff… Light sabers—duh:

They will even train you for free : )

And—it’s light sabers… DUH!

OH!…

And, the Mandalorian Mercs had a join booth set up with the local 501st…
