ANT # 13– Erik Larsen comes aboard to wrap up Mario Gully’s story arc that he started a few years ago, and I really like the old-school Silver Age presence that Larsen brought to this title which is filled with the usual elements that accompany an Erik Larsen story- Action, Complete Exposition and wrapping up everything towards the end, plus the appearance of Daredevil (The boomerang-throwing version) was great, so if you enjoy reading comics with a Silver Age factor, then check out ANT.
Heroes Reborn # 6– This issue puts the focus squarely on Power Princess and what I liked about this issue the most is that is maybe one of the most brutal and intense Wonder Woman stories ever….and it’s not even from DC Comics! both of the stories represented in this title could very well be a good reason why Marvel should put out a Power Princess story after Heroes Reborn wraps up because I like how Marvel can produce a Wonder Woman story better than DC could.
Heroes Reborn: Night-Gwen # 1– Another great one-shot with takes the concept of Spider-Gwen and blends it with Batwoman with a little Harley Quinn mixed in for good pleasure as Gwen is working at Ravencroft as a psychologist then transforms into Night-Bird when night comes; Even though the story itself plays out like a Batgirl story, I found this to be entertaining and the battle between Night-Bird and The Jackal was amazing, and I was surprised when I found out the real identity of The Jackal (**NO SPOILERS**); Night-Gwen is another great story that once again helps elevate Gwen Stacy’s popularity and I highly recommend this.
Six Sidekicks Of Trigger Keaton # 1– For anyone who enjoys those behind-the-scenes stories in Hollywood, then this series is for you; From the minds of Kyle Starks and Chris Schweizer comes a story where Trigger Keaton, one of the recognizable and highly disliked stars, is found dead and it’s up to his six former sidekicks/co-stars to solve the crime…..only thing is that no one (And I mean NO ONE) liked him because he’s such a douchebag. I like the fact that Starks and Schweizer take the essence of “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” and crafted a story that anyone will enjoy and I believe that this is a better story than anything that will come out of any studio in Hollywood.
Web Of Spider-Man # 1– This is a Spider-Man story that really brings Peter Parker’s scientific background to light thanks to an invitation to W.E.B. (The Worldwide Engineering Brigade); Seeing Peter mingle with other fellow geniuses his own age and so far, it’s a fantastic read from beginning to end and all ages will enjoy this version of Spidey and with the excitement, this issue brought with it, this new volume of Web Of Spider-Man is on its way to being a crowd-pleaser. Well, that’s it for me. Thanks for sticking around and I will see you all next time.
