According to Deadline, Henry Cavill is in negotiations to return to the Superman role, but do not involve a sequel to Man of Steel. Warner Bros. reportedly plans to involve Cavill’s Superman in another one of its upcoming projects. At the time of writing, it is unclear which film could feature his return. Warner Bros. declined to comment.
Warner Bros. has several announced projects in the works, including Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam film and the upcoming Shazam! and Aquaman sequels. Notably, Superman made a cameo appearance at the end of Shazam!, although his face was never shown and another actor wore the costume. However, details about Cavill’s upcoming Superman appearance are being kept under wraps for now.
