GOLDEN AGE REVIEWS: Pep Comics #40

ImageAnother great issue! My favorite story of that issue was the HANGMAN tale “The Case of the Singing Corpse”, probably one of the most intriguing mystery stories ever done for the strip. And Bob Fujitani’s artwork was awesome, to say the least. And Irv Novick’s work on the SHIELD and CAPTAIN COMMANDO stories was not too shabby either (especially those spectacular fight sequences in the Shield tale which rival even Jack Kirby’s work at that time). And the Archie and Bentley of Scotland Yard stories aren’t too shabby either.
