GHOST MACHINE/IMAGE ANNOUNCE DUO OF NEW TITLES: THE LONG-AWAITED FIRST GHOST SERIES FROM BRAD MELTZER, GEOFF JOHNS AND GENE HA AND A NEW HYDE STREET STORY: SISTERHOOD!

The year-old creator-owned Image imprint made the announcement at ComicsPro along with news that Sisterhood co-creator Leila Leiz has joined the company as an exclusive artist
LOS ANGELES (February 20, 2025) — Ghost Machine sent chills through this year’s ComicsPro event, announcing a duo of new thrillers for 2025.
With almost a year of sold-out, hit books under its belt including GEIGER, REDCOAT, ROOK: EXODUS, HYDE STREET, IT HAPPENED ON HYDE STREET: DEVOUR, THE ROCKETFELLERS and HORNSBY & HALO, the first-of-its-kind creator-owned company unveiled the new titles that cut across two of its shared universes—its horror-themed universe Hyde Street and its action-adventure centric universe of alternate American history and heroes, The Unnamed.
The stories of Ghost Machine’s Unnamed Universe span decades—from the future of GEIGER, to the past of REDCOAT—and its present-day story begins with FIRST GHOST. Written by Brad Meltzer (who, after a short story in Marvel #1000, returns to comics for the first time in six years) and Geoff Johns with art by world-renowned storyteller Gene Ha (Top 10Wonder Woman: Historia), FIRST GHOST launches later this year, focusing on a newly elected United States President who moves into the White House with a young son. The two quickly discover the residence is more terrifying than cutthroat politicians and red tape.
“Geoff and I have been planning this for years,” says New York Times Best Selling author Melzter, whose latest work The JFK Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill Kennedy is currently featured on numerous bestseller lists. Reteaming with Ha from their critically acclaimed issue of 2007’s Justice League of America#11, Meltzer adds, “It’s a dream come true to work with friends and creative titans like Geoff and Gene. Comic books are one of my first creative loves and I’m thrilled to be part of Ghost Machine, where we can create stories that we’re all invested in.”
While readers first meet the character known as Sister Hood in HYDE STREET #5 (April 2), her residency on Hyde Street creeps into SISTERHOOD: A HYDE STREET STORY.
The new five-issue series reunites Ghost Machine writer Maytal Zchut and artist Leila Leiz and launches in July. The duo, who collaborated on IT HAPPENED ON HYDE STREET: DEVOUR, explore co-dependence and revenge in a tale revolving around two life-long friends whose relationship radically changes when one accidentally drowns during a sorority hazing incident. But on Hyde Street, death takes on a terrifying new meaning.
With the new book, Leiz also signed an exclusive agreement with Ghost Machine as a full-time artist.
“Maytal and I had so much fun working together on DEVOUR that we knew we wanted to tell another story together,” said Leiz. “When Maytal pitched me the story for SISTERHOOD, I immediately said yes. And when Ghost Machine offered me a chance to work with them on an exclusive basis, it was another easy answer for me.”
