Last Year’s Breakout Horror Series from Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin Is Back with New Issues in March
LOS ANGELES 02/02/2023 — Today Skybound unveiled a first look at I Hate This Place #6, which kicks off the second story arc of last year’s hit supernatural horror series from writer Kyle Starks (Assassin Nation, The Six Sidekicks of Trigger Keaton), artist Artyom Topilin (Ice Cream Man Presents Quarantine Comix Special), colorist Lee Loughridge (Deadly Class, The Good Asian), and letterer Pat Brosseau (Birthright, Manifest Destiny).
Trudy’s past comes back to haunt her, which wouldn’t be so bad if she and Gabby weren’t already literally haunted by unimaginable forces of evil on a daily basis. Can’t a gal catch a break?
“I Hate This Place was the sleeper hit of 2022 and we’re thrilled to be back for more,” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound. “This next arc is about to get even more personal for our heroines, and we can’t wait to keep scaring the hell out of you!”
To provide retailers and fans with options, each issue of I Hate This Place will have open-to-order covers by Topilin with clean and explicit cover options, featuring the standard series title and the explicit version of the series’ original title, Fuck This Place.
The available covers for the issue include:
- I Hate This Place #6 CVR A (Diamond Code JAN230214)
- Fuck This Place #6 CVR B Explicit Variant (Diamond Code JAN230215)
Both versions of I Hate This Place #6 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, with Cover A also available on digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.
And you can catch up on the series with I Hate This Place Vol.1, collecting the first five issues of the series and available now everywhere books are sold.
