Comic House, Captain Canuck and Little Blackstone Studios … Camp Canuck!

Comic House and Captain Canuck is proud to announce its latest super team-up with Little Blackstone Studios!

The dynamic duo of Comic House and Little Blackstone have dreamed up CAMP CANUCK- a love letter to Canada and the world, that imagines Captain Canuck and his fiendish foe Mister Gold as camp counsellors to a group of young, almost superheroes from around the globe. It’s a summertime crash course in super-heroics, the great outdoors, campfires, and kids! What could possibly go wrong?… Many, oh so many things.

Also jumping in the Camp Canuck canoe creative are veteran writers and showrunners Doug Hadders and Adam Rotstein (Camp Lakebottom, Inspector Gadget, Bagel & Becky), Producers Fadi Hakim (Comic  House), Jocelyne Meinert, and Tysen Potter (Little Blackstone) – all rubbing their hands together in anticipation of all the fun to come. To be clear, each rubbing their own hands together… rubbing each other’s hands would just be weird.

The 11-minute Animated Series skews to 8-12 year olds and cheeky adults alike and will feature a host of familiar characters along with some of Canada’s finest writing, voice, and musical talent – soon to be unmasked!

“The show incorporates many of Comic House’s characters and reimagines them as tweens. I’ve known and been a fan of these characters for years. Now we get to see these heroes’ fun super awkward selves as they begin to come into their own! I can’t wait to meet these kids!” – Fadi Hakim – Comic House Founder

“We were on board faster than you can say “Captain Canuck”. There’s nothing like a superhero on his way to save the day, who can’t remember if he turned off the stove.” = Joss Meinert – Little Blackstone

“Really amazing settings, fun and funny characters, a great production team – this is Canadian summer camp at its campiest.” – Tyson Potter – Little Blackstone

“We’ve been reading Captain Canuck for years. It’s a dream to be able to work on this property. Much better than our other reoccurring dream about cow-clowns that we’d rather not talk about. We can’t wait for you to join us as we combine camp-angst with comedy and Canadiana. You’ll come for the Canuck, but you’ll stay for the Can-everything else!” – Adam Rotstein – Writer / Showrunner

“I feel like we have too many quotes.” – Doug Hadders – Writer / Other Showrunner
