Comic Book Cats, number 87: New Comics #6, cover drawn by Vin Sullivan, published by National Allied Publications / DC Comics in July 1936.
Here, from the dawn of the comic book biz, is an amusing cat cover drawn by Vin Sullivan, one of the earliest editors, and an occasional artist, for the company that eventually became DC Comics.
Sullivan left National in 1940 and went to work for Columbia Comics. In 1943 he founded Magazine Enterprises, where he remained until the company ceased operations in 1958. Sullivan passed away in February 1999 at the age of 87.
