Comic Book Cats, number 164: Hero Cats: Midnight Over Stellar City #1, drawn & colored by Alex Ogle and written by Kyle Puttkamer, published by Action Lab Entertainment in October 2015.
Midnight Over Stellar City was a three issue miniseries spotlighting Midnight, the black cat of the Hero Cats team. Midnight is definitely the brooding, intense, driven vigilante type. On this first page we see him tormenting a pair of criminals in jail, and on the second he is meeting with team leader Ace.
Alex Ogle did a fine job with the art on this story, successfully straddling between cute and atmospheric. The limited color palette he utilized definitely gave this miniseries a distinctive mood.
Ogle reunited with writer Kyle Puttkammer on a second Midnight three issue miniseries in 2017. He has also drawn promotional artwork for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
