NEW YORK (MARCH 13, 2017) – Are you a comic shop owner who still has Free Comic Book Day issues from last year, or even from years past? How about those Halloween ComicFest issues you give away to your customers for their trick-or-treat bags? Maybe you just have an inventory of kid-friendly comics filling up your dollar boxes and taking up much-needed space?
We have the perfect solution to help you clear the way before the next Free Comic Book Day and Halloween ComicFest hits: donate your extra inventory to the Kids’ Comic Con initiative!
Kids Comic Con (KCC) is the annual children’s outreach event that takes place every year in the Bronx, NY. Our next annual flagship event happens on Saturday, April 21st… and throughout the year, the KCC Road Show will bring its commitment to kids’ comics to comic conventions across the country.
The mission of KCC is to celebrate imagination and inclusion through the medium of comics. We believe it’s so important to introduce kids to comics at an early age, not just to foster a love of the stories and art, but also an appreciation of the people who create them… and most important of all, to inspire kids to create comics of their own!
The kids we reach out to come from all walks of life, including many who are financially challenged. We do whatever we can to provide them with the most exciting professional talent to meet and greet, the most engaging interactive workshops to stoke their creativity… and of course, lots of free comic books, too!
In order to do this, we rely on generous donations of comics. This may sound easier than it actually is – for a variety of reasons, our access to family-friendly comics for giveaway purposes is more limited than we’d like. That’s why we’re turning to you for help. In return, you’ll not only be able to clear the way for new comics to sell, but you’ll be providing many comic books with grateful new owners… kids who just may be your customers of tomorrow!
We are currently accepting donations through April 18th, 2018. Please ship all-ages comics to:
