After the success of the first issue, earning 247% of the required funding thanks to over 160 backers, BUMP is back for issue two with another Kickstarter campaign. The second issue will feature bigger stories and bigger names, but also still feature some of the best up-and-coming comic book artists in short 3-page horror stories.
Written by Joseph S. Farrar, BUMP is a black-and-white horror anthology that features a number of artists for each issue, coming from a number of different backgrounds and showcasing many different art styles. For issue two, there are six incredible artists on board for interior art.
- Joe Eisma (Morning Glories, Engineward, Archie, The Flash)
- Morgan Beem (Swamp Thing: Twin Branches, Wonder Woman: Black & Gold)
- Colleen Palmer (Crow and the Eternal Night)
- Cat Parra (Dates)
- Spencer Davis (Source Jammer Tezca)
- Dann Franco (If On A Winter’s Night)
The six artists will be working on six different stories, ranging from creepy tales of inhuman beings to realistic stories of dread and terror. Each story has a style that is enhanced by the specifically chosen artist working on it.
Issue two also features cover art by three of the best contemporary artists in the comic book industry, with main covers by Vasco Georgiev and Juni Ba, with a special Pumpkingirl variant by Caspar Wijngaard. BUMP #2 will feature lettering by Haley Rose-Lyon and design work by DC Hopkins.
The Kickstarter campaign will launch on the 29th of October, with early bird reward tiers and all-in-one cover bundles for collectors, as well as stretch goals that aim to increase pay for the creators and attract a greater breadth of artists for future issues. The campaign can be found here.
BUMP #1 is currently available for purchase on Comixology, where it was featured in the Bestsellers list during its week of release and has a 4-star rating, as of writing. It will also be available physically through the issue #2 campaign.
