In time for the holiday season, and Bones Coffee has brought back their collection based on Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The collection box comes with 5 distinct flavors, in 4 oz bags, inspired by your favorite characters from Halloween Town. The flavors are Santa Jack (cranberry creme brulee), The Pumpkin King (pecan praline), Sally inspired Frog’s Breath (chocolate mole), the Oogie Boogie inspired Mudslide Boogie, and the Zero repped Ruff Weather (oatmeal cream pie).
Santa Jack is an arabica coffee where “festive cranberry sweetness meets decadent creme brulee.”
This one stands out as the favorite of all the flavors. The tartness of the cranberry is balanced with the creme brulee flavor. The overall taste is very smooth and can even be enjoyed by non-coffee drinkers.
The Pumpkin King is a medium roast that combines “creamy pumpkin, nutty pecan, and sweet praline.”
With this flavor the pumpkin and praline really sticks out, the pecan is a little more subtle on the back end.
Ruff Weather is an arabica coffee that mixes “sweet oatmeal cookies with rich buttercream filling.”
Much like The Pumpkin King, the buttercream hits your pallet first with the subtle oatmeal flavor coming on the back end.
Mudslide Boogie is a medium roast where “rich chocolate mingles with the decadent flavors of coffee liqueur, vodka, and Irish cream.”
This is one of the stronger and richer flavors of the bunch. The taste stays with you and could be used as more of an after dinner drink or drank along with something like a pastry.
Frog’s Breath is described as “a cunning mix of coffee, chocolate, and spice with a balanced, spicy finish.”
This one is also one of the stronger flavors of the bunch. The mole and spice hits you right at the first sip. Much like Mudslide Boogie, it could be used as more of an after dinner drink.
The collection offers a good range of flavors for coffee drinkers and with the themed box, it makes for a great gift for Nightmare fans and coffee drinkers alike.
