COMMENTS: “Youngblood Reborn Chapter One” I liked the old Youngblood comics so I was predisposed to like this one. The story is a pretty cool start, the real question is if we can see the story play out monthly. There is a “Help” app that all the young heroes are using to organize as superheroes and provide help; kind of like Uber. The old Youngblood are actually old, and there is a new team of younger heroes not sanctioned by the government. At the same time, the old Youngblood members Die Hard and Vouge are about as embedded in the government as you can get. We also catch up with Shaft and Badrock with a few mysteries to be solved. If you ever wanted to catch up with the original Image super teams now is your chance. Here is hoping they re-establish the shared universe and crossover with Spawn, Shadowhawk, and Savage Dragon.
“As It Should Be” I don’t know what is going on here. We have Kirby from the Berzerkers. Kirby is named after Jack Kirby and kind of looks like Jack so I have a soft spot for Kirby. He is with a character that looks a lot like Badrock but is called Blu, and I don’t remember seeing before. On Blu’s shoulder is a mini version of Bedrock that I also don’t remember seeing before. This story was all set-up so I will have to see more pages to even know if I liked this story. With only 4 pages in the back-up story it’s little more than a preview.
