SUMMARY: Look, up in the sky! Its a bird. Its a plane. Its the . . . SUN! When morning comes, a young boy must prepare for his day, faster than a speeding bullet. Follow along as he leaps tall buildings (jumps out of bed) in a single bound, dons his heroic uniform (his clothes), and faces his greatest weakness (Kryptonite-colored toothpaste). Then its up, up, and away to daycare! The perfect companion to the bestselling author Michael Dahl’s BEDTIME FOR BATMAN, this official DC Comics picture book will have Superman fans young and old delighting in their morning routines. Includes a morning routine checklist.
COMMENTS: With the companion book “Good Night Batman” Michael Dahl took the traditional bedtime story tradition and make it into modeling Batman like behaviors to get ready for bed. In this story we see the same formula applied to getting up for the morning and getting ready to go to school. In theory this is really cool for parents of young children. You don’t want to read the same story every night to your kids even if it is their favorite story. So now you have two stories that are both Superhero related and both are teaching behaviors you want your child to emulate. The only difficulty is that the Batman story is told at bedtime and it is bedtime behavior. The Superman story is morning behavior told at bedtime, since no one reads a wake up story to their kids. However, that is just a minor observation. Any story that is good for both kids and their parents is always a plus.
