Pulse-pounding action, wit, intrigue, and globe-trotting romance – One of Canada’s original heroes is reborn for the Chapterhouse era
COMMENTS: Freelance was the second ever Canadian superhero and this is a retelling of a classic Canadian team who’s original adventures were told in the pulp tradition. Originally Lance Valiant was the leader and Natasha was his girlfriend who was a Russian spy. John Collins was pirate and became Lance Valiant’s sidekick. The Chapterverse version of this team is a LGBT friendly version. We start off with tons of action and beautiful are from Vaneda Vireak. Aurora Dawn is Chapterverse version of Hydra and is center stage in Freelance and up to no good. Apollyon is freed by Aurora Dawn and we set up the first story arc. I am left with a lot of questions at the end of issue one. Looking forward to issue two.
