COMMENTS: I get that the Fighting American is a legacy hero and he was created by Simon and Kirby. I get his stories have been published by both DC and Marvel among many other publishers. However, I have never read a Fighting American story before so it’s all new to me. What we have is a 1950’s uber-patriotic character chasing the commies into 2017 and getting trapped here. They are 60 plus years out of their depth. It is a great set up and the art is perfect for the story. Duck is able to capture the charm of the 50’s while still looking modern enough to give the feel of today. It was a fun start, not sure where they are going with this but I am excited to go along for the ride and look forward to the next issue.
