SUMMARY: Its Summertime and Kitty and her friends are at the beach ready for some fun and sun! The biggest craze this summer is the magically delicious tacos from the new taco stand that’s opened up on the beach. Kitty and company can’t get enough of their hard-shelled goodness, but what’s the secret ingredient? Find out this Summer in “Taco Hell!”
COMMENTS: This is a fun comic! It’s the type of comic you would expect from Archie if they were a little more risque, and I don’t mean adult. They start off with Kitty topless on the beach but she covers her breasts in the frame. The Taco story is cute and silly, with lots of bad puns and child actors.
Gisèle Lagacé takes up the art on the second story and it’s beautiful! The story has bad German accents and Road Runner style slapstick. At the same time, it manages to take a swipe at the practices of the comic industry.
Dan and Fernando prove that in 2017 comics can still be fun.
