SUMMARY: The Oilsands are burning! Captain Canuck must fight his way through the inferno to find out what has turned the workers into zombified puppets, while getting the survivors out alive and uninfected. Across the country, Canuck’s brother, Michael Evans is tested on whether he can put loyalty, to his brother and to Equilibrium, before an opportunity for revenge.
COMMENTS: “ALEPH PART 2: DOWN”
Part of being a hero is rescuing people. When Captain Canuck rescues people…
“Are you a Superhero?” “My call sign’s Captain Canuck but you can call me Tom.” he has no secret identity he is trying to hide.
“Do you have x-ray vision?”
“I don’t have x-ray vision.”
Can you stick to walls?”, Do you have claws” “Can you fly?”
“No. And No/ We really need to get — No. Not Really.”
“So what do you do?”
“I protect people.”
I love the interaction. It sets up exactly who Tom Evans is, and who he’s not. And of course as soon a you firmly ground Tom in the real world what happens. He battles gold sludge powering an industrial robot. And who doesn’t like a robot? It was both realistic and not both at the same time. It also establishes the evil plan of Mr. Gold. When the story ended I wanted more which is all you can ever as a story to do.
“ARCTIC ASSAULT Part 2″
Has Tom in a different pace and time.
It a knock down, drag out fight between Tom and the Sea people. Only everything isn’t what it appears to be. Nice twist on the ending.
