BAD IDEA TWO: PART ONE begins tomorrow with two massive new launches – ESCAPE FROM WYOMING #1 and ORC ISLAND #1 – and continues with a new release EVERY week through February 8th.
That’s 15 incredible BAD IDEA comics over the course of 15 exhilarating weeks, and we’ve got a colossal promotion lined up to celebrate!
Not only will each launch issue arrive in stores alongside a brand-new First Customer Pin but we’re officially announcing the kick off of the BAD IDEA Weekly Fan Cup – an enormous interactive competition involving every BAD IDEA Destination Store and all the BAD IDEA fans!
| Everyone and anyone can play. Start with tomorrow’s launch books or anytime during BAD IDEA TWO: PART ONE. Play by going in store and picking up copies, at home with your mail order copies, or even if you’re waiting for all 15 books to arrive at once.
There are two ways to compete in the BAD IDEA Weekly Fan Cup. The first is by partaking in, and earning points from, the ever-evolving, increasingly outlandish New Release Challenges we issue every Wednesday for new BAD IDEA TWO: PART ONE releases. The second is by competing in the Instant-Win Challenges we post every Monday, Thursday and Saturday during BAD IDEA TWO: PART ONE.
New Release Challenges
Every Wednesday we’ll announce one or more challenges for fans to take part in at their local BAD IDEA Destination Store. Each challenge will have a corresponding number of points that can be earned via a successful completion.
For instance, this Wednesday’s challenges are:
- Selfie Time! Take a selfie with ESCAPE FROM WYOMING #1 and post it on Twitter or Instagram. Must use the hashtag #BadIdeaFanCup and tag @badideahello. Must post by midnight PST on Wednesday. (Reward: 1 point)
- Selfie Time! Take a different selfie with ORC ISLAND #1 and post it on Twitter or Instagram. Must use the hashtag #BadIdeaFanCup and tag @badideahello. Must post by midnight PST on Wednesday. (Reward: 1 point)
- Costume Party! Celebrate ESCAPE FROM WYOMING #1 by dressing up like a cowboy or an intergalactic alien. Take a selfie and post it on Twitter or Instagram. Must use the hashtag #BadIdeaFanCup and tag @badideahello. Must post by midnight PST on Wednesday. (Reward: 1 point)

| At the end of the day, we’ll go through all the photos and tally up the points that were successfully earned. A leaderboard will be posted and updated every Friday. At the end of the BAD IDEA Weekly Fan Cup, the 50 players with the most points will be awarded mega prize packages! A full breakdown of the leaderboard prizes is below.
Instant-Win Challenges
Every Monday, Thursday and Saturday we’ll run a new round of instant-win challenges asking fans to review the weeks’ new BAD IDEA book, nominate their favorite store or nominate the comic store employee they love the most. We’ll pick our favorite entries that very day, signal boost their choices and instantly award them a prize. The winners will each receive a copy of that week’s BAD IDEA B-Side as a standalone comic book. |

Review copy! BAD IDEA is rewarding fans who are reviewing this week’s book. Post a review of the new book on Instagram or Twitter. Use the hashtag #BadIdeaFanCup and tag @badideahello. We’ll select 5 reviews to instantly win a copy of that week’s BAD IDEA B-Side as a standalone comic book.
Every Saturday:
World’s Best Store! Nominate your favorite BAD IDEA Destination Store by posting photos and telling us why your store is the best on Instagram or Twitter. For best results post up to 4 pictures of the interesting or unique features from your store. Use the hashtag #BadIdeaFanCup and tag @badideahello. We’ll pick one entry (and one store) to each instantly win a copy of that week’s BAD IDEA B-Side as a standalone comic book. |

Grand prize (1 winner):
The player with the most points at the end of the final week will be declared the BAD IDEA Weekly Fan Cup winner and receive:
- You are officially the BAD IDEA FAN OF THE YEAR.
- BAD IDEA staff and creators will fly to you and hold a coronation crowning you, at your local BAD IDEA Destination Store.
- You will be adorned with a BAD IDEA crown, cloak and scepter. All yours to keep.
- We will throw a coronation after-party for you, your friends, the customers, and staff at your local BAD IDEA Destination Store.
- You will be awarded a check (oversized, of course) for $1,000 to spend at your local BAD IDEA Destination Store.
