Animal Crossing: New Horizons – How It Started vs. How It’s Going

Flavortown Origins
Present Day Flavortown

Well, it’s finally happening. Someone is finally brave enough to come out and talk about their opinions on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which has definitely never been done by anyone for the last year and a half.

To be fair to me, I’ve only had the game since March and my opinions are very good, so I’m going to keep shouting my excellent takes into the deep, dark void.

I’ve been playing various Animal Crossing games with my cousins for years and I have fantastic memories from that, and honestly, New Horizons absolutely blows the others out of the water. It builds beautifully on the foundation the other games have laid and adds amazing layers to the world and its characters. I got into the game late because Nintendo Switches went extinct for an entire year and finally managed to score one because of one of my bestest friends Tim Chizmar from TMI with TIM (go check his stuff out!) so we could play together. Since getting the game in the middle of March this year I have played every day except for one. I’m almost afraid to see how many hours I’ve logged on this darn game.

My adventures take place on the beautiful island of Flavortown, where the local fruit is oranges and according to the locals, everything tastes great. There’s beautiful scenery and weather that changes with the seasons, music that changes every hour, shooting stars and fireworks.
