The World of Aluna is a story about a baby girl of native Colombia set back in the 1500s. She was taken from the new world by the Spaniards and raised as royalty in Spain. As if by fate she is forced to travel back to the New World, only to discover that she is indeed fulfilling her destiny. While there, she is visited by her missing tribe’s Spiritual Leader and quickly learns that she is the daughter of the Goddess “Pachamama”. Her journey will be filled with adventures of the unknown. Aluna will be torn between what she has just learned and the life she left behind.
Created by Paula Garces and Antonio Hernandez and featuring art by Adrian Barbu, Antim Marius and Casandra Ciocian, this 24-page book is available both digitally and in print and can be found on multiple platforms.
Two versions of the comic book are available now on Amazon. One featuring a photo cover of Garces as the title character.
“We are super excited to announce our The World of Aluna comics book will now be published on TidalWave Comics. “said Garces. “The World of Aluna has always been an independent IP and as her popularity continues to grow we knew it was time to pass the baton to a publishing company that understands. After years of looking for the right fit, we feel we found it. Darren G. Davis has been in the independent comic book world since 2001. This says a lot about his passion for the industry whereas a lot of the larger companies can’t quite get their footing solid amid the ever-changing world of this industry. It was important for us to join a publishing company that understands the importance of allowing their creators, to create. Darren does, and his outreach not only in the digital world but also in brick and mortar is going to expand our reach to fans all over the world”.
“I am excited to continue the story of Aluna” said publisher Darren G. Davis “the art and story is top notch and will fit in with our strong female characters like 10th Muse, Legend of Isis and Judo Girl. We do have plans to incorporate Aluna into the TidalWave Universe”.
TidalWave has featured worked with other celebrities in transforming them into fiction comic books such as Cindy Margolis, Rena Mero (aka Sable from the WWE), Traci Bingham and more.
