St Louis, MO (December 8, 2020) – John de Lancie, known for his role as the fan favorite character “Q” in the Star Trek franchise, will participate in a live Q&A session on Dec. 8 at 8:00pm ET / 5:00pm PT, streaming on both Facebook and YouTube. The actor/director/producer/writer will take questions from fans as well as discuss his recent collaboration with artists who have created a series of fine art prints inspired by de Lancie’s iconic role, available on his newly re-launched website, www.johndelancie.com. To view the Q&A, fans can log on to Facebook.com/StarTrekTheCruise and YouTube.com/StarTrekTheCruise.
“With conventions on pause right now, here’s a new way for us to connect,” explains de Lancie. And to replicate another mainstay of conventions, the coveted autograph session, he adds, “I’ve teamed up with some terrific artists to create amazing art prints and I’ll still be able to (digitally) personalize each one.”
The Q&A is hosted by Star Trek: The Cruise, the ultimate immersive experience for Star Trek fans. The 5th annual cruise is scheduled for February 26-March 5, 2022, sailing through the Caribbean with de Lancie, George Takei, Walter Koenig and a crew of stars who have appeared in every iteration of the Star Trek TV franchise spanning more than 50 years. Under license by ViacomCBS Consumer Products, Star Trek: The Cruise’s weeklong Un–Conventional voyage offers more ways to engage with favorite Star Trek celebrities than any other event in the universe, including the following immersive Star Trek experiences:
- One-of-a-kind nightly shows presented by Star Trek actors

- Star Trek movies and episodes at the pool deck theater
- Costume parties and cosplay competitions
- More than a dozen bars, restaurants, clubs and lounges will get a Federation Refit to create the ultimate Star Trek amusement park at sea
