The 2018 Annual Canadian Independent Comic Book Wiki Awards voting is open right now. Pop over to @cancomicswiki to see the amazing selection of nominees this year.
The Canadian Independent Comic Book Wiki is an online, user-curated database of comic books created in Canada by Canadians. Founder Brendan Montgomery notes, “There is a boom right now of Canadian comic books so it is important to record this part of our culture for future generations. It is also an awesome way to discover new comics and heroes you might be interested in! Information on these comic books may be harder to find thus the goal of this wiki is to create one central location for information on all independent Canadian comic books.”
This year’s nominees include a bevvy of amazing work. The Canadian Comic Book Alliance is well represented with quite a few members involved in the short list books up for selection. Heck, my own podcast, The Hey Kids Comics Radio Show is nominated. Featured right here on First Comics News, a group of longtime comic reading pals share hosting duties on The Hey Kids Comics Radio Show broadcast live on Trent Radio 92.7 CFFF FM in lovely Peterborough, ON Canada every week. Join Dan, Marty, Chris and Sam as they rant and rave on the hobby they love.
If you have a minute to spare swing by the link here VOTE 2018 CANCOMICSWIKI and vote. I encourage you to use this as an opportunity to add some great independent comics to your wish list.
