Comments: “Revenge!” Writer Dennis Mallonee, artist Mark Beachum, letterer T. Owen and colorist Tom Luth.
The adventures of Flare when she was a girl. Here we see Flare and her siblings while they were growing up and training under the guidance of a Nazi, Professor Gottmann. The art shows off Flare and her sister Olga is some very sexually provocative poses.
Flare aka Teresa does pick on and bully Philip her younger brother. He is sensitive and seeing him bullied is not nice.
Teresa is a pure girl. She though is written with an attitude.
A Bonus Icicle Adventure “Confrontation with Huntsman” Story by Dennis Mallonee, pencils by Lou Manna, inks by Mark Morales, colors by Travis Walton and letters by Jean Simek.
Icicle has a huge crush on the Huntsman but he does not have one on her. So there is drama. No action in this story but lots of interplay between the characters featured.
“Into the Viper’s Nest” Story by Dennis Mallonee, pencils by Habagat, inks by Rick Bryant, letters by Jean Simek and colors by Dick O’Malley.
Flare storms an underwater base. She is all action and posed provocatively. Her womanly attributes shine through. In a battle, we are shown just how tough she can be.
Flare has a unique way of looking at the drug trade. She may be right to.
A beautiful pin-up of Flare ends this story.
“Malice” a Champions story. Story by Dennis Mallonee, artwork by Benton Jew, letters Carrie Spiegle and colors by Janice Cohen.
Malice aka Melissa is a powerful woman but still, she has feelings and needs. She wants to be loved. She does not want to be alone but she is. She is powerful and beautiful and you will pity her.
These stories show us that super-heroes and villains are still just people. The stories as well are done in a more mature vein. These characters are written as real people.
