Comments: “The Clown” A magical Mr. Clown to entertain at kids’ birthday parties shows up at a kid’s party. The mom is getting glimpses of what this clown is. The evil of this clown permeates the pages as you read it. Yes, clowns can be scary.
“Star Gazers” Well the story is predictable. It has been done over and over. The art does convey the horror of what is going on. Be careful what you eat it may just eat you.
“Hello Darkness” The story is about the damage people have done to the planet and about them being punished for it. The ending does not fully make sense. The last page is a lovely drawing with great colors.
“I Can’t Take You Anywhere” is a two-page story. Each page is separate from the other. Each story is different and something a bit different than you usually see. They are strange yet not scary. The art is done in the simplest style.
“The War, Part Two” Here some people living in an apartment are thinking what should we do if the world ends? The world really might end and they are relatively calm. They are considering all their options.
This collection of stories has a variety, overall though not frightening. “The Clown” story is the only one that will scare you.
