Comments: In this society, you either be good doing what the Inner Circlers say or you change into a monster. Sung is on one side of the Inner Circlers and Eris his friend well she is transforming into a monster—a bea—aful one. Sung does feel guilty about what he did here it is wrong yet he follows his heart.
The Champion is a man who is at the top of being good. He is who all the people look up to. Sung doing what he thinks Champion would want him to find out more than he should. Not all is perfect in the upper crust.
The monsters and the parts of monsters look amazing. The full monsters are scary. The parts of them appearing are disconcerting. It is a punishment in this society one that others can see.
Sung is a kind-hearted man who does want to do the right thing but we see he is conflicted.
The story lacks points of interest. The characters are lackluster. The turmoil being caused is minimal and leads to little happening here.
Eris is a cute young woman who does misbehave and you can see it in her yet she does not care, she cares more about just being herself. She is a pretty nice person who is turning into a monster.
