Comments: A person remembers playing a game as a child Attaboy is called and he remembers others playing it yet no one else can remember it, why?
The person narrating this is writing this book as a manual about the game. In the game are three characters a boy, a father, and a mother. There are scenes of the gameplay here. The art style is not focused and clear. It does have some nice colors in it. It does seem to fit an old-style video game.
There are many characters in this game that you have to defeat. As the game is played the boy starts to play it differently. He is playing the game from within it and the play has changed. Is it all real to the boy? Was it when he was a kid?
The art changes to black and white to fit the story’s telling. Then back to color.
The story kind of leads you along having you guessing about the boy and what is really going on.
There is emotion in this book between the boy, mother, and father whether they are actually related or not or even real. The game parts of this book are fun and fast-paced. The boy will leave you with unanswered questions about him and the world he lives in.
