Silverline Comics is pleased to announce the launch of the crowdfunding campaign for the popular Beyond the Stars #2 by fan favorite comic writer Ron Fortier (Green Hornet, Terminator, The Boston Bombers, Mr. Jigsaw) with Andrea Bormida and Mike Belcher.
“Andrea is such a wonderful visual storyteller,” says Fortier. “He brings the script to life with his great sense of composition and drama.” Fortier and Bormida, an Italian professional graphic artist, hooked up on a social media site and Fortier immediately suggested they team up.
“Super excited for # 2,” says Bormida. “This is where we can see how well #1 was received; if we managed to stir up curiosity and involve the readers.” He also hints at this issue’s details. “We have another great cliffhanger ending and a mystery is upon us.”
Fortier and Bormida are joined by writer/creator Mike W. Belcher who is lettering and designing. Beyond the Stars is the primal good versus evil tale. At its core is a group of unique Science-Warriors called upon to save all of mankind from an unimaginable horror.
Beyond the Stars #2 is the second of a six-issue mini-series and is one half of the current kickstarter effort. The partner comic is Steam Patriots #2 by Scott Wakefield, Rory Boyle, JC Grande, and Dan Hosek. The comic will come be 22 pages of story and art.
A Kickstarter campaign is slated to run through April 30. Digital versions and retailer bundles are available as part of the campaign!
