An impressive ominous castle greets the reader as they start this book. The dark art is certainly eye-catching.
Sterling Cross a man out of his alternate reality is going to hunt down Van Helsing. He takes a team with him of Romeo and Juliet and Joan of Arc. Elizabeth Báthory is the one sending them on this mission.
Van Helsing is not alone he has an army of werewolves and these creatures are vicious-looking things. Now, what would a werewolf do with the ability to travel through time and dimensions?
Now Sterling Cross is met with a surprise from Tesla the inventor. He has someone for Sterling Cross to meet.
Sterling Cross and Tesla from the alternate dimension decide to work together. The way Tesla is explained is confusing. So Sterling Cross and Tesla along with Sterling’s team are going after an evil Van Helsing. Having all these characters from literature is great.
This story is about protecting the timeline and it is also one of an ancient battle between werewolves and vampires. In this story roles are reversed, heroes are villains and villains are heroes.
Van Helsing as well needs help and the Mad Monk Grigori Rasputin the art does bring out his character he is mad and evil.
The grand scheme moves along for both sides. Which side will win only time can tell. We do get to witness an epic battle with Dracula.
Where else but here could you see Joan of Arc vs Leonardo De Vinci? Sword vs invention. Sabina now her and Cross do have a connection in the other dimension here though you know she is important.
Van Helsing is bent on the destruction of all. Why? Plus his using his lost love to help him do it, using love to destroy is wrong.
So things take a few surprising turns here. Things in part turn out how you would expect but getting there starts one way and then changes and changes some more.
There are lots of interesting uses of famous literary characters here. Lots of monster battles to with some fierce action. If you like your monsters with twists to them you will find that here.
