Comments: “Double Trouble!” It looks like Archie is having trouble again deciding who to take to the dance. He does want Veronica more yet Betty is insistant. The art is done in the traditional style that says fun and looks amazing.
“Riverdale: Shadows of the Past” The art looks dark as do the characters. Lots of drama here to.
The two universes of comic Archie and TV series Archie are interfacing. It is easy to see which character is from which universe.
The art showing the arrival of one special guess star is illustrated wonderfully to showcase their talents. This pin-up style art is the stand out part of this comic.
The story does not really grab the readers attention. It is different yet nothing jumps out at you. The characters from the Riverdale TV series are boring. They may look more dramatic but in a comic funny book that is not necessarily a good thing.
The comic book original characters are done in keeping with their original characters which only goes to enhance even more the Riverdale TV series ones being out of place here.
It was a nice idea it just did not turn out all that well.
