It’s the personal journey of Robert Overstreet as JC Vaughn does a marvelous job interviewing him a leading us from Bob’s childhood on through the present. There is a nice mix of commentaries and classic articles. The cover gallery for this edition is a gallery of past covers of this amazing history.
I started with the Guide with issue #8 and I always looked forward to it, from the histories to how much my collection had increased in value, I was excited to get it. I combed through the ads to find places that would send me mail order back issues. Collecting was hard in those days. The Overstreet Price Guide had been part of my life for more than 40 years and it is a real joy to read this companion book, Overstreet @ 50.
If you haven’t been purchasing the Guide for the last 50 years this is your chance to see the very best the Guide has had to offer. If you have, you already know this is a book you can’t live without.
