In all honesty, movie producers, actors, and directors have found a way of making us love certain movies by bringing some of our loved childhood toys to life – in films. Over time the movie industry has made toys a source of inspiration for big blockbuster movies. These toys are adapted to the big screens for viewers. Even more so, games or Digital collectibles are also adapted for big screens.
Toy based movies have grossed billions of dollars for the movie industry, from Toy story, Legos, Troll Dolls to Mr. Potato Head; these movies bring a positive nostalgia feeling for lovers of the film, even viewers. More so, a new movie Barbie played by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is highly anticipated.
Toy Story
It’s hard not to mention Toy Story. When discussing toy-based movies, the first of its kind, the toy story was the first animated movie made with a computer instead of previous animated films produced by just drawings on paper. The famous Apple genius Steve Jobs was part of what was Pixar’s first movie production. Toy stories reinvented the movie industry.
Film characters like Woody the cowboy and his space ranger friend, Buzz Lightyear, are some of the most popular toys we see today.

Bumblebee is a sci-fi movie based on Hasbro action figures toys; it’s part of the Transformers movie series, the film. It starred many Hollywood stars; Dylan O’Brien, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Drucker, John Ortiz, and Pamela Adlon and Micheal Bay directed Bumblebee.
It was an excellent movie for kids who loved Hasbro action figures, even for others. Trolls is a movie based on the toys: good luck and quirky trolls. It was a 2016 blockbuster; the story is about two trolls. The Lego Movie
The Lego movie is a computer-animated movie released in 2014; the film is based on the Lego line of construction toys; it tells the story of Emmet, a Lego Minifigure, who helps stop the ill practices of a lousy businessman who plans on gluing everything in the Lego world into his sense of perfection. The film stars many Hollywood film stars who lend their voice to the film characters – Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Chris Pratt, Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, and Charlie Day.
The Lego Movie was a hit and commercial success; it grossed over 450 million dollars worldwide. Critics hailed The Lego Movie for its acting, story, animation, and humor. The movie earned a nomination for an Academy Award.
