Thanks to the Rings of Power on Amazon, people are once again thinking about all of the interesting rings from Tolkien’s universe. From the One Ring to Arwen’s Evenstar necklace, the franchise is filled with beautiful and unique jewelry that fans love to admire.
But, it’s not just Lord of the Rings that offers some stunning and iconic kinds of jewelry. Here are some of the most exciting jewelry pieces that fans still love to replicate.
Given that it was mentioned in the intro, it wouldn’t be right to leave out the Rings of Power that have been featured in The Lord of the Rings franchise.
In The Lord of the Rings trilogy, we get a brief glimpse of the nine for the elves, the seven for the dwarves, and the nine for men. Other than the One Ring itself, the most notable ring that’s been shown is Galadriel’s, which goes by the name Nenya.
The Rings of Power offered up its own redesign of this ring. It will be fascinating to see how they show the story of the rest of the rings of power being made by Sauron.
For fans of the Twilight series, seeing Bella and Edward’s wedding rings was highly anticipated. However, this piece of jewelry makes the list for being underwhelming, not for being adored. While the book’s version of Bella’s wedding ring was described as vintage and classic, the film version for the films looked cheap and off-putting. Many fans were confused by the design choice and didn’t like the look of this wedding band.
The Heart of the Ocean is featured heavily in the Titanic film, and it’s hard to forget the scene where Kate Winsley, as Rose, wears only the necklace while Jack, played by Leonardo Dicaprio, paints her. While this stunning diamond necklace wasn’t real, it was based on and inspired by some actual pieces of jewelry, such as the Hope Diamond, which is worth over 350 million dollars.
While fake or fantasy jewelry might be exciting, this list wouldn’t be complete without talking about Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the necklace worn by the iconic Audrey Hepburn. This movie’s name alone brings to mind the legendary jewelry store with its signature blue color. This particular necklace was made by Tiffany & Co., and it’s hard to forget it. The chain is a mix of large pearls and diamonds, and it takes center stage when set against the elegant but simple black dress.
Given that the plot of this movie revolves so much around diamonds and how to market them, this particular piece had to make the list. Kate Hudson’s character in the film, Andy, wears the made-up “Isadora” necklace with its canary diamond pendant. It also works quite well with the elegant but straightforward dress she wears. And, while the diamond pendant might have been created for the movie, some celebrities, like Lady Gaga, have worn similar-looking jewels.
While these aren’t the only iconic pieces of jewelry featured in movies and television, they are some that have made big impressions.
